In my new work, I weave  sculptural vessels from strips of black ash. After weaving the structure, I add texture to the surface by sewing stacks of beads onto the exterior.  These large, free-form shapes, suggestive of the human figure, incorporate hook & eye closures to give the impression of having been stitched together as a piece of clothing.
